Engineering at Tise

We're currently 16 engineers split across backend, web, iOS, data, and Android. Most of us work in small, cross-functional product teams, solving fun and complex problems. The rest work in specialized teams that focus on their platform’s architecture, best practices, tooling, core functionality, and long-term roadmaps to ensure we are building things to last. Engineering is part of Product & Technology, and is located at Tise HQ in Oslo. Senior Machine Learning Engineer

At Tise, we are fortunate to possess large amounts of data across multiple domains, including behavioral data, text, images and video. The potential for what we can achieve with data and AI is high, and it will play a key role in taking our product to the next level!

As Senior Machine Learning Engineer in Tise, we work in a small, autonomous team with a lot of freedom when it comes to technical decisions and product impact. We collaborate closely with the other product teams, working with the entire lifecycle of data solutions. Our work sits at the intersection of data science and ML engineering, and we wear many hats: shaping product decisions, integrating services, and building prototypes to showcase new possibilities. Being a small team requires us to be pragmatic about resource allocation and project scoping, and our current ML features are therefore based on a mix of models we’ve built & trained ourselves, and more ready solutions picked off the shelf. What you’ll work on:

Build and evaluate personalised product solutions within recommendation & search, pricing, anti fraud, smart assist features and more
Develop, deploy, and maintain production-ready scalable ML systems
Develop and test data processing pipelines
Stay up-to-date with recent developments in the ML/AI space
Explore and gain insights that drive product decision making
Monitor and iterate on ML models in production, aligning with company goals and improving user experience

About you:

Higher education within computer science, statistics, applied mathematics, data science, or related fields
At least 3 years of professional experience as a data scientist or ML engineer within recommender systems, computer vision, natural language processing or similar AI/ML domains
Enjoy writing maintainable python code
Experience with various machine learning libraries and frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, Scikit-Learn, Keras, TensorFlow, Pandas/Polars)
Experience with developing workflows and/or deploying models on cloud platforms
Like to communicate your work and ideas to technical and non-technical stakeholders
Self driven, organized and able to balance multiple projects
Product and user oriented problem solver with an experimental mindset
